UNSW Athletics Club Member Support Funding

1. Terms & Conditions

 

1. This policy outlines the process of allocating funding to UNSW Athletics Club representatives

2. The representative must be a current, paying member of the UNSW Athletics Club, as outlined in Section of the Constitution

3. The representative must compete in the UNSW Athletics Uniform and be allowed to be photographed for UNSW Athletics Club publications

4. Change to this policy will be decided by the Committee, and shall be voted upon by the Committee Members

5. Disputes to the policy will follow the Grievance Procedure in the Constitution

 

1. NSW Competitions

 

1. Any athlete who represents UNSW Athletics Club at the NSW Championships in the 2017/2018 season shall be refunded their competition entry fee

2. The reimbursement amount currently stands at $11, however if an increase to the entry fee occurs, the Committee may vote to increase the reimbursement amount

3. The athlete must compete in their event at the competition, and their result must be included in the Athletics NSW results at the conclusion of the competition

4. The money will be reimbursed at the conclusion of the NSW Championships, subject to the availability of the Treasurer and approval of all the documentation

 

1. Australian National Championships

 

1. Any UNSW Athletics Club Member who represents New South Wales at the Australian Athletics Championships, will receive funding towards their accommodation and/or flight at the Championships

2. This funding will be divided equally between each of the athletes who compete regardless of the number of events they compete in, and the funding will total $2000 to be split evenly

3. This amount may be increased by a vote by the Committee if it is deemed necessary due to an increased number of athletes competing

4. The athlete must compete in their event at the competition except for extenuating circumstances, including, but not limited to, pulling out of the event after already flying to the competition. A decision on any athlete receiving funding under these circumstances will be decided by a vote at a Meeting of the Committee

5. The athlete must compete in a UNSW Athletics Uniform, except for extenuating circumstances, including, but not limited to, individual sponsorship requirements of the athlete. A decision on any athlete receiving funding under these circumstances will be decided by a vote at a Meeting of the Committee

6. Funding will be paid at the conclusion of the Championships, subject to the availability of the Treasurer and approval of all the documentation
